Pieces sit on a jagged board a few rows deep: red hearts, purple and pink gumballs, green ring-shaped candies and yellow stars. Swap two touching pieces to make a line of three or more matching sweets. They pop, the pieces above drop down and new ones fall in from the top, which can set off extra clears in a chain.
The bar at the top of the screen shows the level number, the goal pieces you need to collect with the count still remaining, and your move counter on the right. In the frames that counter falls from 28 down to 21 as matches are made, so every swap costs you. Strong clears are rewarded with a pop-up shout like AWESOME across the board.
