How to Play World War III
You start in a first-person view with a chunky sci-fi rocket launcher filling the bottom-right of the screen. The mission box in the top-left reads "Eliminate all the enemies" and tracks your progress out of 50, so the whole game is a hunt: move through the pale blue block-built structures and open Martian ground under a ringed planet, find robots, and blast them.
Because your weapon fires explosive rounds, shots leave bursts of flame and smoke that briefly block your own view. Hold the right mouse button to aim more carefully, then left-click to fire. The compass bar at the top of the screen marks nearby contacts with red ticks against N/E/S/W headings — use it to work out which direction to turn before you commit to a corridor.
Use WASD or the arrow keys to move, Shift to sprint between cover, and Space to jump over the low walls and ledges. Health sits in the bottom-left; there are pickups to be found on the ground, so keep an eye out while you clear the map.
Tips
- Watch the red marks on the top compass strip to find the next robot instead of wandering the map blind.
- Your rocket blasts throw up smoke and fire right in front of you — step sideways after firing so you can see whether the target went down.
- Use right-click aiming for distant robots; hip-firing explosives at close range is risky.
- Sprint with Shift between the block walls and use Space to hop ledges, then break line of sight when your health bar drops.
- Check the kill counter in the mission box to see how many of the 50 robots are left.
