Steveman

By FBK

Steveman is a hand-drawn side-scrolling platformer where you guide a stick-figure version of Steve across a flat green landscape toward a green doorway at the end of the stage. Slimes, flying monsters and rows of spikes sit between you and the exit, and a miss brings up a big Replay banner. It runs free in your browser, no download needed.

How to Play Steveman

You control Steve from a side-on view on a single wide stage. Move left and right with the WASD keys, and use the jump — including a double jump — to clear hazards. The route in the opening level runs past a tree, a green slime crawling on the ground, a spinning star-shaped blade floating at chest height, clusters of spikes poking up from the grass, and small blue crates sitting on the ground, before finishing at a green door on the right.

The HUD keeps a Time counter in the top-left corner and shows the current level at the top of the screen with a small counter beside it. When a run ends, a bold Replay banner drops over the screen so you can go again. Reaching the door is what moves you on, so the loop is learning where each monster and spike sits, then timing your jumps to slip through.

Tips

  1. Keep the double jump in reserve — saving the second hop gives you a correction if you mistime the first over a spike cluster.
  2. Watch the green slime's path before you commit; it moves along the ground between the trees.
  3. The spinning star blade sits in mid-air, so note its height relative to Steve before choosing to jump.
  4. Replays are instant, so use early attempts to memorise the order of hazards on the stage.
