You move forward automatically along a level built from mixed surfaces — a striped desert highway, rocky ground and stretches of open water. Three shape buttons sit at the bottom of the screen; the one highlighted in green is your current form. Tap or click the shape that suits what is coming: the car for smooth tarmac with traffic on it, the speedboat when the road gives way to water, the ball for rolling sections, and the runner on foot for narrow or stepped ground.

A bar at the top shows level progress with your marker sliding toward the finish, and the level number sits above it. Get the shape wrong for the surface and the run breaks down, so the pressure is on reading the terrain early rather than reacting late. Clear a level and you are paid out in coins, which go toward unlocking hats. Each new level changes the look of the surroundings and the mix of obstacles you have to shift around.
