Drunken Crane hands you the controls of a claw machine, except the prize is a passed-out uncle and the goal is setting him down safely on a park bench. Each stage gives you a limited time to slide the arm sideways, lower it and let go at the right height. It's an action-puzzle game with 38 stages, free to play in your browser.

How to Play Drunken Crane

A claw hangs from a cable at the top of the screen with the uncle dangling from it. You press the side button to move the arm horizontally, the down button to lower it, and the stop button to halt the crane and open the arm so the uncle drops. The HUD tracks your score, the stage number and a countdown timer, plus a stage best marker at the top.

Release height is the whole puzzle. Let go too high above the bench and the uncle tumbles on landing instead of settling in place, which costs you the stage — the game then shows a GAME OVER prompt asking whether to continue. Later stages swap the bench for other targets: one set has you land the uncle on the back of an elephant, and another uses a trampoline that bounces him back up. Clear every one of the 38 stages with a three-star rating and hidden stages unlock.

Tips

  1. Drop from as low as you safely can — a high release makes the uncle roll instead of staying put.
  2. Line the arm up horizontally before you start lowering, so you only need to judge the release point.
  3. Watch the stage timer in the bottom-right panel; lining up too carefully can run it down.
  4. On trampoline stages, remember the mat sends the uncle back up, so plan where he will come down.
  5. Chase three stars on every stage rather than bare clears — a full 38-stage three-star run opens the hidden stages.
