How to Play Wings.io

Wings.io is an airplane shooting game where you pilot your own plane and try to survive the airspace. You start each game with a standard infinite machine gun to shoot other players. Collect power-ups in the sky to change your weapons. Aim to be King and score points by collecting the small yellow particles that are worth 5 points each. Score even more points by killing players, which grants you 50 points per kill, and the King, which grants 150 points.

Customization

Customize your plane by clicking the blue plane icon before entering the game. You can change your plane’s color and decal, and toggle player names on or off.

Power-ups

Power-ups descend slowly from the sky or drop from defeated players. Collecting a power-up changes your weapon and awards 10 points each. Take note that picking up the same type increases your ammo, while a different type replaces your current one. Notable power-ups include:

Grapeshot (orange): Similar to the standard machine gun, except it fires three bursts instead of one. Grants 300 ammo but uses 3 per shot.Missiles (red): Missiles auto-lock and target nearby players. Grants 10 ammo.Beams (blue): Fires powerful beams slightly shorter than the standard range. Grants 10 ammo and deals critical damage, as players’ planes fall when hit.Bombs (gray): Drops bombs in a straight line. Rush to the Top

At the start of a game, stay at the very top first to collect power-ups, as this is where they spawn the most. It’s also safer here to upgrade as most players stay in the middle.

Aim for Low-Health Players

One easy way to gain points and replenish health, especially if you’re a beginner, is by spotting players with low health and finishing them off, as they’re the ones most vulnerable to attacks.

Stay in Your Lane

Avoid flying too close to the edges or far from the battle arena to prevent dying from “abandoning the fight”. You will be warned though with a message at first, but if you continue flying ahead, you will die.

Warship Attack

Warship attacks are special hourly events where three warships flock the sea at the bottom to shoot cannons at players. They have an insane amount of health, but shooting at them grants you points. If you get to kill the warship though, you are granted over a thousand points.
