How to Play Moto Maniac
You drive from a side-on view, rolling right along piers held up by wooden posts. Up (or W) gives throttle, Down (or S) reverses, and the left and right keys tilt the bike so you can control how it lands and grips. The dock surfaces are uneven: planks sit at different heights, barrels and log bundles block the path, and some sections are just a raft resting on two boats that sinks and shifts under the wheels.
A run ends badly in two ways — the bike drops into the water between piers, or the rider's head hits an obstacle when the bike flips. Because of that, most of the game is throttle discipline: enough speed to climb an obstacle, not so much that the front wheel lifts too far. Clear the finish and you move to the next numbered level, as in the frames where Level 1 gives way to Level 2 while the timer keeps counting.
P pauses at any point, and the on-screen pause and speaker buttons sit in the top corners.
Tips
- Feather the throttle on the log piles instead of holding Up — a full-speed hit tends to throw the bike over and put the rider's head into the next obstacle.
- The raft sections built on boats move under you, so cross them while the bike is settled rather than mid-landing.
- Use the tilt keys in the air to line the wheels up with the next plank; landing flat keeps you from bouncing off the edge into the water.
- Reverse with Down to back up and take a bad obstacle again from a better approach instead of grinding forward into it.
- The clock keeps counting as you ride, so learning an obstacle's safe line pays off more than rushing at it.
