How to Play Horse Jumping Show 3D
Begin as a rider standing in the yard beside the stalls. Walk to a horse — a marker ring appears on the ground under you — and press F to saddle up. Once mounted, the camera sits behind the horse and a directional ring on the ground shows which way you are pointed.
Ride out of the paddock and onto the sand arena, where grandstands, banners and national flags surround the track. Steer with WASD and use the number keys 1 to 3 to switch between gaits, so you can trot carefully into a turn or push to a faster pace on a straight run. Press Space to jump as you approach a rail.
The course is built from striped poles and wooden gates laid out across the grass and sand sections. Line the horse up square with each fence, time the jump so you leave the ground early enough to clear the top pole, and keep riding toward the next obstacle.
Tips
- Walk right up to the horse before pressing F — the ring marker under your rider shows you are in position.
- Drop to a lower speed with 1 or 2 before a tight turn, then build back up on the approach to a fence.
- Aim to hit each rail head-on; a crooked approach makes the jump harder to clear.
