How to Play Traffic.io
The whole game happens at a single four-way junction drawn in a clean low-poly style, seen from above at an angle. Lane arrows and dashed centre lines show which way traffic flows, and a tram line cuts diagonally across the intersection. Vehicles enter from all four roads on their own — you never steer them.
Your only action is the click. Tap a moving vehicle to bring it to a stop, and tap it again to release it. That means you are reading the junction constantly: which van is about to reach the middle, whether a crossing car will clear in time, and which one you can hold back for a second. Frames show a warning marker appear on a held vehicle when another is closing in, and brake marks left on the tarmac where cars pull up.
A counter sits at the top of the screen and rises as the run goes on. Traffic arrives in ones and twos at first, then several vehicles converge at the same time, so the gaps you have to work with get much tighter within seconds.
Tips
- Watch the lane arrows so you know where each car is headed before it reaches the middle.
- Hold the vehicle that is further from the junction — the one already entering it needs the space.
- Keep an eye on the diagonal tram track; the tram crosses the same box the cars use.
- Release stopped cars as soon as the way is clear, or you will build a queue you have to manage later.
- Look for the warning marker that pops up on a held vehicle — it flags trouble arriving.
